Sip & Sculpt: Botanical Coaster Workshop

Pour yourself a glass and get ready to create at our Sip & Sculpt workshop. Held right here at our Atlantic City studio, this class walks you through the fundamentals of making your own set of botanical imprint coasters - no experience required!

This workshop is BYOB and open to guests 21+ - bring your favorite bottle and sip while you sculpt.

Our instructor will guide you every step of the way, offering tips and encouragement so you feel confident from your very first press into the clay. You’ll press real botanicals into soft clay to create one-of-a-kind imprint designs, then trim and shape each coaster into a finished set of four. Once your pieces are formed, you’ll pick your glaze finish from our studio’s glaze library to bring out all the detail in your botanical designs.

From there, we take over: your coasters get bisque fired, glazed in a high-gloss clear (or your chosen finish), and fired a final time. Pieces will be ready for pickup in about 4-6 weeks. Pieces are available for free pickup during regular studio hours, or we’re happy to ship yours to you for an added shipping fee.

A quick note on the nature of clay: pottery is a hands-on collaboration with an unpredictable material, and that’s part of what makes it special. Even with the best technique and our full attention throughout the firing process, clay can occasionally surprise us - a small warp, a shift in color, a little variation from what you pictured. We see that as part of the charm rather than a flaw, and we think you will too.

When you join us for this workshop, you’re doing more than making a set of coasters - you’re directly supporting MudGirls Studios’ mission of empowering women in our community through the art of clay. Every workshop fee helps fund that mission, so the coasters you take home are just one small part of something much bigger.

This workshop runs for 2 hours, starting at 6:00 PM. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get settled.

Workshop Policies

Food and drinks are both welcome.

Please arrive on time. If you are more than 20 minutes late, you will not be allowed to participate in the class.

Refunds & Cancellations

All workshops are non-refundable.

• 24+ hours notice: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the start of class will receive a full class credit, which may be used toward future workshops or to purchase any MudGirls products.

• Within 24 hours: Cancellations made within 24 hours of class will receive a 50% class credit.

• Within 8 hours: Cancellations made within 8 hours will not receive a refund or credit.

• Rescheduling: Guests may reschedule one time only. Any additional rescheduling will require the purchase of a new class ticket.
